From up here you can start to see threads of data flow past, hyperlinking through the hull. The Captain's hearty yet grating laugh punctuates the low rumbling of the ship's engine at seemingly random intervals. You realize this is why immersive VR has never taken off.
"Ah," he says, turning back to you, "heard one of the swabbies put in a good word fer ya. Rough men, they are, so's you knows they mean it. Next time you're down there, sees if ya can't find a dubloon or two, might just be worth yer whiles."
